For the past three years, Lisette Hernandez has given back to the Swim Across the Sound by raising over $30,000. A cancer survivor and recipient of the swim assistance program, she wanted to give hope to others while facing their own cancer diagnosis.
Each year, Lisette, who is a hairdresser, provided free haircuts for the month of October and asked clients to make a donation to the Swim. In 2025, she also added a Live Dj party with buffet at a local restaurant in Stratford.
We are so thankful to Lisette for always finding new ways to support the Swim and for being an amazing partner who has found ways to give back to her neighbors in need.
